Behavior Buddies story

Behavior Buddies is the result of a collaboration of two moms who want to help parents be more consistent and positive when dealing with their children's behavior.

Amy M. Boland, M.A.

Amy is our lead behavior consultant and parent educator. The mother of two, she has masters degrees in developmental psychology and school psychology, and is currently working on her Ph.D.  As a Behavior Consultant, Amy has extensive experience creating behavior programs for children and adolescents, working directly with parents and children in their homes. In this role, Amy is charged with creating behavior plans and routines for families in dealing with children’s behaviors.  After meeting with many families with varying degrees of behavioral concerns, she found herself often suggesting to parents to create a system that rewarded the behaviors they wanted to see, set goals for their children, and track their progress toward reaching those goals.  After suggesting this to Kim, the idea for Behavior Buddies was born! Now with the Goalkeeper, you can have the experience of a Behavior Consultant, without the expense of hiring one of those “nannies” from TV!

Amy has also worked as an advocate for families of children with developmental disabilities and is an adjunct faculty member in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio.
